A Medium’s Diary #3  Go Cubs!

Why? As I’m looking back on 2016, I feel so very sad.

I know we all have losses, and I knew the time was coming. As a medium it doesn’t mean I can simply talk to whomever I want whenever I want. I wish it were that easy. My job is to supply proof for others not for myself. God grants the connection, I don’t.

2016, I suffered three big losses just days apart.

#1 And yes, MY number one, my favorite person who graced this world, my dad. I’m blessed to look like him, and to share his passion for the Cubs. We proudly wore our hats together at games, and watched them lose year after year ummm after year.

I watched the Cubs win the World Series by myself with our hats. Mine on, his on the couch beside me. I admit I was so into that game, I had just about forgotten his hat. I jumped around like a total fool, lucky to not hurt myself!

A few days later, some guests stopped by. One was wearing a championship Cubs hat. We all sat around watching TV. At the end of the night, his hat was gone! We looked around for it, and thought, oh, it’ll show up.

The next day, the visitor came back, again we looked all over for the hat. So again, we looked all over, pulling up couch cushions, looking in the oddest of places. Still no hat!!!

Monday morning, myself and my dear hubby went to work. He left at 5am, I left around 10am. I came back from work later that day, and the Cubs hat was on the arm of the couch. Right there so I saw it when I walked in. I called the hubby to say thank you for finding the hat! He stated that he was working out of town and had not been home all day.

Now, I know I looked on the couch, in the couch, and around the couch!!! I would have sat on it the night before. It wasn’t there.

I’m certain someone was letting me know without a doubt, that I was not watching that game alone. GO CUBS!!!

Thanks Dad ❤
