Are ya crazy or are ya “special”?

Well, I’m special and so are you, but if you have this “mediumship” thaaaaang you may feel crazy.

Most my life, I heard over and over you’re just too sensitive.  You are just too this or that, you’re a sensitive red-head. Oh Labels….while my siblings were getting all kinds of other labels like; Doctor, Attorney, Millionaire Money Guru, I received labels like; ADHD, MS, the black sheep, Dyslexic, has multiple birth defects, the sickly  kid, the “sensitive one” and “the worry wart”.  Yes, I quite stuck out, being the only shorty, and the only red-head. Thank God I look like my dad or they would have thought aliens dropped me off.

Yeah, a true medium can have a rough upbringing, this is seldom talked about, but after discussing this with many, it seems to be the case. It’s the roughness of it that brings out the empathy and ability to know, see and hear.

I remember as a kid being TERRIFIED of the dark!  At night I would run up the stairs, and even putting my nightgown up over my head had to be a fast procedure. Anything that obscured my eyesight was awful.  We tend to be nervous people, and many have nails chewed to the bone, we worry about everyone. Most people don’t see and hear everything I did as a kid, so yeah, I was a nervous kid.

Mediums sometimes have ADHD, which to me is a gift, it isn’t that we can’t focus, we HYPER-FOCUS.  So, as a kid, and sometimes even now, I tend to be late. I’m so very focused on what I’m doing that I forget there is a world that is around me, and I have things to do, and places to be! Sorry… no really I am sorry! This also creates a kind of forgetfulness that can take a medium up in to the ether without our permission.

So, even though I had all that fear, I also had friends. Yeah, you guessed it, invisible ones. Yup, a freak child. Me and “Merlin” did everything together. So while the other kids were running around, playing chess, and involved in sports, I was hanging out in the woods out back with Merlin.  This didn’t go well according to the neighborhood brats who wanted to pick on me. I was just weird, I was totally cool with that too.

As a medium ages, they do tend to do all they can to just fit in, to not be so darn sensitive! Ignoring all they can, and numbing all they can as well.  I tried that and failed at it miserably.

So, in my 20’s I met my fabulous, wonderful, and exceptionally wonderful, hotty hubby.  I had a better idea of who I was at the time, and he loved me and still does unconditionally. Then it happened, my gifts began to morph. I would go off into the firmament… bah-bye! There I would hear, and I mean audible HEAR, and I would see, and I don’t even mean just in my minds-eye. “Hon, raise up any health insurance, there’s something seriously wrong here!” I sobbed.

I quickly got to a doctor, ears were fine, eyes were fine.

Got to a therapist, I’m sane or so he said.

Okay, checked mind & body, time to check Spirit…

That is when the teacher appeared, I joined my first mediumship developement circle, and kept looking until I found one that was absolutely perfect for me, whom I am still like a small child jumping for joy when I get to speak with her or work with her. She has been a life saver on more than one occasion.

So, are you this kind of special too? If so and if you can identify with a lot of what I shared, please consider finding a circle, find a mentor. “Buddha can see the Buddha”, and mediums recognize each other. A true light worker, full of love, will help you find your path.

***Thanks “Merlin”, you were my hero, and have always been there for me.***
